Beryl Stratton (1938-2025)

The County were sad to hear the passing of former County President Beryl Stratton.

Beryl and husband Roy were stalwarts of Middlesex Athletics and the wider athletics community, both will be sadly missed.

Beryl, a member of Enfield & Haringey AC, was a long time secretary of the Women’s Southern Athletics League as well as the Women’s National League. She was County Secretary from 2006 to 2015 as well as a former President (2006). A level 5 official Beryl attended the Commonwealth Games and with husband Roy was a stadium volunteer at the 2012 Olympics.

Her Daughter Sue has provided the following details “We have arranged the funeral for Monday, 22nd September; details are in this link https://berylstratton.muchloved.com

The wake will be at the Larkshall Pub, where we held Dad’s, everyone is welcome to attend the committal at the City of London Crematorium, or can go straight to the pub, where refreshments will be available whilst awaiting our return.”
