Ivor Wiggett
Following on from the announcement of Ivor’s passing, I thought I would share a few thoughts of my own. I’m still a relative newcomer to athletics officiating but Ivor was there as a constant presence through the ten or so years I’ve been involved. I first came across him as a starter at the Met League where I was attending with my club, Ealing Eagles. Officials Availability for County Champs
Thank you to everyone who helped to officiate and organise the Tri-Counties Indoor Championships this past weekend. It was a successful championships with athlete numbers increased from previous years. The indoor season is now coming to an end and thoughts turn to the outdoor season. League matches and other club fixtures are no doubt already being shared with you by your clubs. Roy Stratton Award 2024
Middlesex AA is pleased to announce the winner of the inaugural Roy Stratton Award as Malcolm French, Serpentine Running Club. Malcolm was recognised for his contribution across the whole range of athletics officiating – Track, Field, Start, Endurance (Road and Cross Country). Presenting the award Stuart Pugh, County Officials Secretary, said: “There is barely an event in the County of Middlesex where Malcolm does not make a significant contribution.
