Inter Counties Cross Country & 20 Mile Road Race Championship – March 2009

Middlesex completed teams in all ten races of the Inter Counties Cross Country with the star performance coming from Nick Goolab who comfortably won the under 20 mens race.

Other high finishers were Richard Goodman 5th in the under 17 mens race, Karnvir Hayer eighth in the under 15 boys and Leigh Lattimore 13th in the under 20 women. The under 20 womens team finished 4th.

The Middlesex 20 mile championships were incorporated in the ‘Finchley 20’ and the race was won in the excellent time of 1 hr 49 min 55 sec by Glenn Saqui of Highgate Harriers with Paul Cuddihy of Hillingdon 3rd.

Sarah Bailey, also of Highgate Harriers, won the Middlesex women’s championship.
